I went for a foreign passport photo and when I asked if it was to the right size, as she was comparing it to the irish passport system, she basically told me that if it wasn't, there was nothing she could do. At least my local home chemist would be a bit more accomodating than that and actually have the different requirements to hand for the different embassy requirement.
